My Gatlinburg Itinerary with Kids

Like everything I do I wanted to make sure I squeezed the most possible into our 5 day family vacation to Gatlinburg. I believe behind every jam-packed action filled vacation is an extremely detailed itinerary. Although we didn't make every item on our list it was great to have a plan for where to go next and what general area we wanted to be in. Continue reading for my full Gatlinburg itinerary with kids.


Monday


730am Leave Missouri

1230pm Arrive in Nashville

Go to Fannie Mae Dee's Park have picnic lunch

2pm Nashville zoo (runner up- science center or art museum or Brentwood splash park)

6pm Dinner

730pm Leave to Cookeville

845pm Arrive check in

Bed


Tuesday


6am Wake up, get ready

7am Eat breakfast

730am Leave hotel

8am Arrive at Burgess Falls (35 minute hike, took us about two hours lol)

10am Leave Cookeville

Eat in the car

1pm Arrive at Soaky Mountain Waterpark (Severville)

4pm Leave

430pm Check in to hotel

5pm Get dinner

630pm Explore the strip (mini golf, shopping and candy shop)

9pm Bed


Wednesday


6am Wake up

630am Eat breakfast

7am Leave hotel

720am Laurel Falls (26 minute drive, 1 1/2 hour hike - took us 2 hours)

9am Sugarland Visitor Center - doesn't open until 9am

10am Jayell animal encounter (Sevierville)

1130am Get lunch

1230pm Soaky Mountain (I had a two day for the price of one deal)

330pm Leave

4pm Arrive at hotel

5pm Get dinner

7pm Anakeesta

9pm Astra Lumina at Anakeesta

10pm Bed


Thursday


6am Wake up

630am Eat breakfast

7am Leave

735am Arrive at Peregain Peak (35 minute drive, 2.5 hour hike) - techinically we didn't end up hiking this day because everyone was so exhausted I COULD NOT wake them up.

11am Get lunch

1230pm Deer farm (Sevierville)

2pm Head to hotel

230pm Swim

4pm The track (Sevierville)

5pm Dinner

7pm Ride trolley to show

8pm Magic and mindreading show

930pm Arcadia - we saw a bear after leaving the arcade and with all the overflowing trash cans I would guess it's probably easier to find a bear on the strip than it is to find one in the woods. I was very excited to see a bear and we stayed until the cops came to scare it off!

1030pm Bed


Friday


6am Wake up

630am Eat breakfast

7am Leave hotel

745am Arrive at Andrews Bald (45 minute drive, 2 hour hike - took us 2 hours and we didn't make it to the end)

10am Leave Gatlinburg

3pm Kids jumping place

10pm Arrived home - the drive home took a lot longer than it should have but I tried to manuever around traffic and I don't think I did myself any favors.
